AI receptionist

Every call answered. In your name.

Dayrun picks up after twenty seconds, after hours and at peak. It answers, qualifies and holds a spot, then brings a person onto the call when one is needed.

A phone glowing on a salon counter while stylists work on clients behind it
Before and after

The same day, handled.

Without Dayrun

  • The phone rings out while every stylist is mid cut
  • After hours calls go to a voicemail nobody checks
  • The same price questions come in all day
  • An upset caller waits hours for a call back

With Dayrun

  • Every call is answered in your salon's name
  • Nights and weekends are answered like any other hour
  • Prices come from your own price list
  • A person is brought onto the call live
The day

A Saturday on the phones

  1. A woman in her kitchen on the phone early in the morning
    7:40 am

A call before the doors open

Sophie answers in your salon's name, gives today's hours and texts a check-in link. The caller is on the list before anyone arrives.

    7:42
    LLaneway Haironline
    1. Today
    Message
  2. A stylist mid cut while a phone lights up on the counter
    10:20 am

Every chair busy, the phone rings

After twenty seconds Sophie picks up, reads the live queue and holds the caller's spot. Nobody puts the scissors down.

  3. The salon owner taking a call in the quiet back room
    1:10 pm

    A caller is unhappy

Sophie passes the call to Nora, who checks the visit and brings the owner onto the call live. The owner hears the whole story first.

  4. The salon owner relaxing at home in the evening, reading her phone
    8:15 pm

The phone still rings after close

Sophie answers every late call and texts check-in links for tomorrow. Each call is recorded and transcribed for the morning.

How Dayrun helps

Three jobs, done every time.

Answers every call

After twenty seconds, after hours and at peak. Callers hear your salon, not a voicemail.

Qualifies and holds a spot

Asks what the caller needs, answers from your price list and hours, and checks them in.

Transfers to a person live

When a caller needs someone, a person comes onto the call with the story.

The maths

What missed calls cost a salon.

A typical US salon, worked out in the open. Cited figures link to their source, and every assumption says so.

$352,800Yearly revenue of an average US beauty salon1
50%Booked over the phone(assumption)
30%Calls that go unanswered(assumption)
21%Callers who immediately call another business2
Lost every year$11,100
Won back when Dayrun answers every call$8,800Assumes 8 in 10 of those callers book once someone answers (assumption)

An estimate, not a promise. Salon revenue is the Census 2024 total for US beauty salons divided by the 77,881 salons the Bureau of Labor Statistics counted that year, so it covers salons with employees. The 21% is what consumers told CallRail they do, not measured behaviour. The phone share, the unanswered rate and the 80% are assumptions.

  1. 1. US Census Bureau, Annual Integrated Economic Survey, beauty salon revenue (FRED), 2024
  2. 2. CallRail, survey of 1,000 US consumers, 2025
Why Dayrun

Built to run inside your business.

Keep your number

Calls nobody answers come to Dayrun instead of voicemail. Voice runs on Twilio and LiveKit.

Your prices, your rules

It quotes each salon's own price list and waits for a yes on anything you hold back.

Every call on the record

Every call is recorded and transcribed, so you can check what was said.

Honest about what it is

It says so when asked. It never pretends to be someone it is not.
