For solo technicians

One van, no office. No missed calls.

You are the whole business, so every missed call is work gone to someone else. Dayrun answers, books and follows up while you are on the tools.

Before and after

The same day, handled.

Without Dayrun

  • Calls go to voicemail while you are on the tools
  • Booking jobs means ringing people back from the van
  • A cancellation leaves a hole in the day
  • Quotes go quiet because there is no time to chase them

With Dayrun

  • Every call is answered and qualified, day or night
  • Jobs are booked into arrival windows that suit your route
  • Cancelled jobs are backfilled so the day stays full
  • Open quotes are followed up until they close
The day

A workday with Dayrun

  1. A technician reading his phone in the van before the first job
    7:20 am

A customer cancels before you leave

Dex backfills the empty window with a job close to where you will already be. The day stays full and you have not made a call.

  2. A technician working on an air conditioner while a phone lights up beside him
    10:05 am

The phone rings with both hands busy

Ray answers in your business's name and asks what is wrong and where. Dex books the job into a window that fits the rest of your route.

  3. A technician walking back to his van, smiling at his phone
    2:30 pm

Last week's quotes are still open

Leo follows up every estimate still waiting on an answer. He keeps going until each one closes, so you do not spend the evening chasing.

  4. A technician at dinner with his family, phone face down on the table
    8:40 pm

Home for dinner and the phone rings

Ray answers the late call and qualifies it for the morning. A customer's warranty question goes to Nora. You get the details, not the interruption.

How Dayrun helps

Three jobs, done every time.

Answers every call

On a roof, under a house or at dinner. Every caller is answered and qualified.

Keeps the day full

Jobs land in arrival windows that suit your route, and cancellations are backfilled.

Closes open quotes

Every estimate is followed up until the customer decides.

The maths

What missed calls cost a solo technician.

One person, one van, worked out in the open. Cited figures link to their source, and every assumption says so.

720Calls a year(assumption)
27%Calls that go unanswered1
38%Of those, real job leads2
45%Leads that book once answered2
$341Average US plumbing job3
Lost every year$11,300
Won back when Dayrun answers every call$5,600Assumes half of those jobs are won back once every call is answered (assumption)

An estimate, not a promise. The call shares are Invoca's own customer data, which leans towards larger businesses running paid ads, and the lead share is for calls from digital marketing. Job values are HomeAdvisor's average homeowner-reported prices for single jobs, so bigger installs would push the figure up. The yearly call count and the 50% are assumptions. Someone on the tools alone likely misses more than 27% of calls, but no US figure exists, so the lower shared rate is used.
